How to Use
Warning: These are primarily for decorative hubcap and center cap retention. They are not intended for lug nut/bolt applications that secure the entire wheel to the vehicle. Always use OEM-specified lug nuts/bolts for safety-critical wheel mounting.
1. Vehicle Preparation: Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat, stable surface.
2. Identify Application: Locate the existing bolts securing the hubcap or decorative center cap.
3. Tool Selection: Select a correctly sized 13mm deep-well socket or a standard socket with a thin-wall to ensure proper fit over the bolt head without scratching the finish.
4. Removal: Carefully remove the existing factory bolts by turning counter-clockwise.
5. Installation: Align the hubcap and hand-thread the new decorative bolt clockwise to avoid cross-threading.
6. Tightening: Using a hand tool (ratchet or wrench), tighten the bolt until it is snug and the hubcap is secure. Do not overtighten. The goal is firm contact, not extreme torque. Overtightening can strip the threads in the plastic hubcap or damage the bolt's chrome finish. Recommended torque is typically very low (e.g., 5-10 Nm).
7. Final Check: Ensure all bolts are tightened evenly and the hubcap is seated properly without gaps.
